After repeatedly encountering claims of neutrality in hegemonic museums, I decided to do something about it. In 2017, I co-produced the global campaign #MuseumsAreNotNeutral. Our work has inspired museum workers, artists, administrators, educators, students, and others to refuse the myth of neutrality. #MuseumsAreNotNeutral is one of my methods for transforming museums and creating more caring, creative, and freedom-centered pathways in the cultural fields.
